Supporting Your Healthcare Choices

We may recommend that your child be seen by a specialist for a recurrent or chronic health issue.  Some specialists may request clinic notes, growth charts or other communication from the referring physician. Our doctors have good working relationships with many local specialists.  Wait times for a specialist appointment can vary.  Please communicate with your physician if you feel your child needs to be seen more urgently.

If you prefer to have your child seen by a specialist that you have researched, please provide their contact information to the physician so that the appropriate office notes or labs can be sent prior to your child’s visit.  Additionally, we've gathered referral lists for providers in the DC metropolitan area who we recommend for your family's additional healthcare needs.  If you have any questions about these resources, let us know.
