Concussions

Protecting Your Child's Brain

Initial evaluation of head injury and concussion symptoms can be completed in our office. If you are concerned that your child has sustained a concussion after head injury, please call the office to make an appointment for evaluation.

If you are concerned that your child needs to be seen more urgently because of symptoms like loss of consciousness, persistent confusion after head injury, vomiting, difficulty standing or walking or vomiting – Call 9-1-1 or take your child to the nearest emergency room.

If a patient requires a more detailed plan for returning full time academic or athletic activities, they may be referred to a specialist.
